The wives of plastic surgeons may get the best deals on their non-invasive cosmetic procedures, but they still have to schedule an appointment. Three women recently shared their preferred plastic surgery procedures and related beauty tips with The Daily Telegraph, describing their relationships with the industry that their husbands work in.
One wife said she has to remind her husband to schedule her Botox injections into his day while doing the dishes: “I know it sounds comical,” Kylie Omarjee told the source. “But my husband works six days a week, 12-hour days. If I want Botox, I have to take it when I can get it.”
Omarjee said her first procedure was to remove scar tissue from a lip injury she had received well before she met her husband, but it instilled a sense that cosmetic surgery can help boost her self-esteem and confidence, a belief that has led to several more procedures, including laser skin resurfacing, dermal fillers and regular Botox injections.
And she isn’t the only one. Nicole Phillips, a psychologist who is also married to a plastic surgeon, told the source that the right technique can be helpful in this matter.
Debbie Edinburg, another wife of a plastic surgeon, told the news source that she views plastic surgery as a way to look as attractive as she can for who she is.
“You don’t walk into the hairdresser and ask for the worst haircut or a dress shop and ask for the blouse that will make you look most frumpy,” she said. “My approach to cosmetic procedures is the same.”
