Is the SMART Facelift a surgical procedure?

The SMART Facelift is a minimally invasive surgical procedure. It is performed under local anesthesia (with novocaine/lidocaine). Patients are also given some valium for relaxation.

During the procedure, a small hidden incision is made over the ear. Through this, the ligaments holding the cheek and jowl fat pads are repaired, resulting in lifting of the face without pulling on the skin. The results are instantaneous. If no other procedures are performed concurrently, most patients can return to work or other social activities the next day looking good.

With the SMART Facelift, natural, youthful contours are restored and long-lasting (semi-permanent) improvements are achieved.
