On the day of your appointment, your provider will begin by reviewing your goals and examining your facial structure. After discussing the treatment plan, the skin will be cleansed and a topical numbing cream may be applied to enhance comfort.
The Sculptra solution will be injected using a fine needle or cannula into strategic areas beneath the skin. The procedure typically takes 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the number of areas being treated. After the injections, your provider may massage the treated areas to ensure even distribution of the product.
You will be instructed to continue massaging the treated areas at home for five days following your treatment—five minutes, five times a day—to promote even integration of the product and support collagen formation.
